The moment I took the CP7740 out of the box, I was impressed with how light and agile the CP7740 was in my hand. I felt more like a gun fighter than a technician. The rear switch has three settings that control torque and speed (in forward and reverse). It is with in easy reach of your thumb, like cocking the hammer of a six-shooter. This wrench is definitely designed for one-hand operation. When you first look at this impact either on the tool truck or at the store, you may notice that when the directional sliding switch/plunger is pushed to the rear it seems like it sticks out pretty far. This may worry you because it is plastic. But after a lot of experimenting, I figure you would have to be trying awful hard to knock it off due to fact that it really does not stick out that far in comparison to the body if the wrench falls to the ground. Don't worry about it, your eyes are playing tricks on you.
